Weekday Morning Anchor

CoastTV News, the Delmarva Peninsula’s NBC affiliate, seeks a News Anchor to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a family-owned broadcast company on the beautiful Atlantic coastline. Our ideal candidate is someone who will invest in this community, cares about character-driven storytelling, and wants to represent the station in a larger capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
– Present live broadcasts, including newscasts, breaking news, and special programming.
– Deliver news with accuracy and professionalism.
– Write and edit news scripts.
– Conduct interviews and gather news information.
– Collaborate with producers, reporters, and the digital team.
– Be willing and able to report as needed.
– Engage and invest in the community and represent CoastTV News at events.
– Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards.

Required Qualifications:
– 3-5 years of anchoring experience.
– Strong communication, interviewing, and writing skills.
– Have excellent spelling.
– Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
– Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills:

– Broadcast production experience.
– Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
– Knowledge of current events and local news reporting.
– Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or equivalent experience.
